Terms
Plain language, one page. Using ButlerDesk means agreeing to these.

What the service is
ButlerDesk is a self-serve web application operated by Nick Rogerson. You add clients and their engagement terms, then submit meeting notes or transcripts; the app uses a large-language model to produce a structured record - recap, next actions, a drafted follow-up email, and a suggested time entry - alongside time tracking and billing-ready totals per client. Every generated field is a draft for your review and editing.
Price and cancellation
- Signing up, setting up your first client, and processing your first meeting are free. No card is required.
- Processing further meetings requires the $29/month plan, paid via Stripe. The app asks before anything becomes billable - there are no silent charges.
- Cancel any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. No minimum term, no cancellation fee. Your data remains exportable and deletable either way.
Your responsibilities
- Submit only material you are entitled to share. Redacting client-identifying or confidential information is encouraged and the app works fine with it. Do not submit passwords or account access.
- Review every recap, draft, and suggested time entry before using it. Nothing is sent to your clients automatically; the judgement on what to send, log, or invoice remains yours.
- Keep your sign-in details secure - your password or Google account, and the email address on your account, which is where password resets go.
Your data
Your material stays yours. You can export everything from Settings as one file, and delete your account - and all of its data, immediately - the same way. The privacy notice lists every service that touches your data and for how long. Your material is never used to train AI models.
What is not promised
ButlerDesk is provided as-is, without warranty. Generated recaps, drafts, and suggested time entries can contain mistakes - that is why you review them. The service is not accounting, legal or tax advice, and total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you have paid in the previous three months.
Changes and law
If these terms change materially, existing users are told by email first. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
